These cold and snowy conditions can be a challenge for the Anna's hummingbirds who over-winter on B.C.'s west coast. Did you know Anna's hummingbirds are already nesting and their babies are starting to fledge (leave the nest)! This may seem early but this is normal for this species to nest in the winter months. At this time of year it is not uncommon to see fledgling hummingbirds on the ground. Please be sure to call your local wildlife rehabilitation facility if you find a grounded hummingbird
