Shooting the Lewis Gun

The Lewis Machine Gun seen here fitted to a Male MK IV Tank (three Mg's for the male version and five for the female). It was is a Gas Operated, top loaded Magazine fed machine gun. The Drum magazine can hold 47 rounds and is rotated by a cam action from the movement of the bolt. 5640 rounds were stowed on the tank. #military #WWI #militaryhistory #thetankmuseum | The Challenger
