Even though she was starving, once everyone walked away from her, she would stand and nudge her foal to eat, from her dried up milk. This still gives me tears and makes me feel sick. How could anyone walk inside their house to sit down at their table to eat, knowing this momma and baby were outside hungry. Mark’s back out in the field getting a few tree stands ready and checking on a food plot we planted around Labor Day 🌾 It was dry — really dry — but with the PH Drill, we were able to get seed in that hard ground. A few days later, the rain finally came, and we ended up with great germination and a solid plot heading into deer season 🦌 Now here’s the question — if we had waited for the rain, would we have had a total crop failure? 🤔 Not sure if it was the “perfect” way to do it, but it worked

It's harvest time! The first field planted has finally come full circle even though it's one of the last bean fields to get harvested. I'll talk about what is going on in the field to wrap up the season while you enjoy some drone and GoPro footage of the combine and grain cart at work.
