My daily workouts alternate between several routines in order for me to change my focus and muscle groups. I also helps prevent boredom. I use to do all cardio on one day and yoga and weights the next. Now I do a little of each every day because I find that as I get older even one day of not doing a certain movement can cause some tightness. It seems to work best for me to work with as many muscle groups everyday as possible. But if you are just starting out I would still recommend a day of rest
