The mighty @airbus A400M Atlas – an engineering powerhouse that bridges the gap between strategic and tactical airlift. Powered by four Europrop TP400-D6 turboprop engines (the most powerful ever fitted to a Western propeller aircraft), the A400M cruises at nearly Mach 0.72, flies up to 37,000 feet, and can carry a payload of up to 37 tonnes, almost twice that of the C-130 Hercules. It’s designed to operate from short and semi-prepared runways, a capability that’s critical for frontline missions
