As a dermatologist who treats skin cancer around the eyes, this is the mistake I see most often. Dark lenses don’t automatically mean protection. It comes down to whether they block 100% UVA/UVB, plus anti-reflective coating on both sides of the lens (that’s also what keeps you from squinting and etching lines around your eyes).
