The License Department has designed this website to provide the citizens of Madison County with information on tag renewals, titles, business license, driver's license, hunting and fishing licenses, boats, and handicap procedures.

The Madison County Tax Collector's office offers the convenience of paying your property taxes online. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and E-checks are accepted. Simply click on the link below and follow the steps to begin your payment process.

The appraised valuations of all property listed for taxation by Madison County have been fixed as provided by law and filed in the Tax Assessor’s office. The Board of Equalization will hear protests on any of these valuations provided these protests are filed in writing by May 2, 2024.

The Madison County Collector is a countywide elected position that is currently held by Valerie Miles. Her hope is to provide Madison County taxpayers with a convenient and user-friendly alternative for paying for taxes.

County operated license offices will continue to provide renewals only for license, ID cards, and STAR ID. Applicants must go to a state office for initial issuance. In response to the attacks of September 11, 2001, and the ongoing threat of additional terrorist activity, the United States Congress passed the REAL ID Act of 2005.

Madison County only processes renewals and replacement driver's license and non-driver ID Cards. No appointment is needed.
