Replacement isn't difficult, you need a Torx set (can't recall size) and a socket set with an extension to reach the battery hold-down. Once you've replaced the battery it's recommended to reset the BMS - YouTube is your friend.

To avoid any possibility of damage to the car electrical systems I would disconnect the battery first, and after econnecting, allow the car to remain parked and locked for at least 6-8 hours so that it can recalibrate the system.
