Long-range weather models do show signs that chilly weather is possible during February, but does that mean another major freeze event for Austin?

Despite a mid-week warm-up, another cold front is expected on Friday with more freezing temperatures anticipated over the weekend.

Temperatures will fall quickly throughout Saturday, eventually leading to a chance of freezing rain by early Sunday.

Confidence is increasing that an arctic cold front could bring Texas its coldest temperatures of the winter, as well as possible ice and snow.
