Rep. Tom Suozzi, a Democrat of New York, told CBS's Weijia Jiang on "Face the Nation" that democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani's victory in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary "tapped into the same thing that Donald Trump tapped into.

He said voters perceive Democrats as focused on reproductive rights and LGBT protections rather than “the issues people think about every night when they are lying in bed."
