KANSAS CITY, Missouri (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians activated infielder Gabriel Arias from the 10-day injured list on Friday afternoon. Arias has been out of action since being carted off the field with a sprained ankle on June 29. This season, Arias is batting .231 with six homers and 31 RBIs in 77 games.

An important American League Central matchup between two teams fighting to stay alive in the standings as Thursday’s Trade Deadline inches closer will have to wait another day. Friday’s Guardians-Royals game at Kauffman Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather in the area.
