ALTADENA, Calif. — Brian McShea and Stephanie Raynor rummaged through the debris of where their Altadena home once stood to see what they could salvage from the destructive Eaton Fire. While Raynor looked for any items that survived the fire, McShea was looking for a specific item he hoped was still intact.

After sifting through debris and miraculously finding the ring, Brian McShea popped the question. She said 'yes.'

An Altadena couple that lost everything to the Eaton Fire in early January found one bit of happiness amidst the rubble of their burned home last week.

Brian McShea proposed to Stephanie Raynor after recovering the engagement ring he had previously purchased in the rubble of their burned-down home.
