Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays and ALCS
Digest more
Ahead of Sunday's Game 1, The Toronto Blue Jays announced their roster for their American League Championship Series clash with the Seattle Mariners, and most notably star shortstop Bo Bichette was not on it as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Bichette has been out for just over a month since injuring his knee on a slide against the Yankees. He’d been able to hit in the batting cage, but hadn’t progressed to any sort of running drills until today.
Right now, when we talk about Bo Bichette, we’re mostly wondering if he’ll be able to play another game this season. After all, his knee is killing him, and the Blue Jays won’t be playing forever in 2025 either.
Bo Bichette’s status for the American League Championship Series remains clouded after he attempted to run the bases Saturday for the first time since spraining his left knee last month and walked off the field in apparent discomfort.
