NBA draft lottery on Monday revealed the final order with teams vying for players such as Cooper Flagg. See the lottery results:
The Dallas Mavericks lucked out and won the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft lottery earlier this week, but Mavericks coach Jason Kidd wasn't watching when it happened. After the lottery, Kidd explained that he didn't have high hopes for the Mavericks given their recent string of luck.
Well, the NBA Draft Lottery gods have a sense of humor. So much for the idea of Cooper Flagg going to a 20-win team. Instead, a statistically improbable Dallas Mavericks-San Antonio Spurs-Philadelphia 76ers-Charlotte Hornets top four upended all our previous assumptions about what might happen in the lead-up to the NBA Draft.
The San Antonio Spurs, as they prepared for the NBA offseason, knew that anything was possible, although they certainly had realistic expectations. Entering Monday's NBA Draft Lottery, the Spurs were expected to pick 14th and eighth.
The San Antonio Spurs landed the No. 2 pick during the 2025 NBA Draft lottery. This put the Spurs in position to land their point guard of the future in Rutgers star Dylan Harper. San Antonio has played around with the idea of trading the pick but if it decides to stay at two, reports claim that Harper will be the selection.
Flagg participated fully in Day 1 of the combine and displayed the physical attributes that make him a standout prospect.
The Kings entered the draft lottery with just a 3.8 percent chance of their pick landing in the top four and thus conveying. Otherwise, they would owe it to the Atlanta Hawks as a result of the 2022 trade that landed them Kevin Huerter.
NBA Draft Lottery is Monday with the Jazz, Wizards and Hornets all having a 14% chance of landing the No. 1 pick. Thunder could land Philadelphia's pick.
