The National Hurricane Center said Thursday, July 17 a broad area of low pressure is expected to bring heavy rainfall to portions of the Gulf Coast.
"Regardless of development, heavy rainfall could produce localized flash flooding over portions of the north-central Gulf Coast through Friday," the National Hurricane Center said.
Heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding are expected along the north-central Gulf Coast. The next named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season will be Dexter.
