It's time to return to Katz's Deli with the stars of "When Harry Met Sally" – this time though, it's for a Super Bowl ad
Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan have returned to the scene of the fake orgasm, recreating the deli scene from "When Harry Met Sally" for a Super Bowl ad.
The commercial, which also features a cameo appearance from Sydney Sweeney, was shot at the same table in Katz’s Deli where the classic 1989 rom-com was filmed.
Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan reunite to recreate that famous scene from ‘When Harry Met Sally,’ – not for a sequel, but for a new Super Bowl commercial – all with a special cameo appearance. CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister reports.
Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of their beloved movie, Crystal and Ryan returned to the famed Katz’s Deli in New York City to recreate one of the film’s most famous scenes, where the floors were still greasy, the commotion was still loud, and, well, the orgasms were still very fake.
More than three decades after When Harry Met Sally delivered the fan-favorite and often-quoted scene, the actors were back at Katz’s Deli to stage a similar setup for a Hellmann’s Super Bowl commercial.
It was so much fun,” Crystal told The Post of reuniting with Ryan more than three decades after their iconic 1989 rom-com.
It's a 'When Harry Met Sally' reunion! Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan joined forces for an upcoming Super Bowl spot for Hellmann's returning to Katz's Deli on New York's Lower East Side for the first time since their 1989 romantic comedy 'When Harry Met Sally' was released.
With the Super Bowl just two weeks ago, ads for the big game have slowly begun popping up, including one from Hellmann’s mayonnaise, which sees Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan returning to the location of their iconic When Harry Met Sally scene.
Directed by Rob Reiner and penned by the late Nora Ephron , When Harry Met Sally follows its titular characters as they keep meeting in a series of chance encounters over 12 years. With each of their run-ins, the pair are forced to navigate the question: “Can men and women ever just be friends?”
