Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Wednesday night for inappropriate contact and verbal abuse of a game official.

Then he clapped in the ear of referee Natalie Sago and bumped her. That got him two quick technicals and ejected from the game, and now the league office has suspended him one game for "making inappropriate contact with and verbally abusing a game official."

Philadelphia comes into the matchup with Indiana as losers of four in a row. The teams square off Saturday for the first time this season.

This may be the start of another rivalry between the Pistons and the Pacers, if head coach JB Bickerstaff's words are any indication.
