As millions of Americans hunker down for the winter storm, 19 states and Washington, D.C., have declared states of emergency.

Roughly a million power outages were reported on Jan. 25 as a massive winter storm raged across the country, bringing "catastrophic" ice accumulation that downed power lines and created treacherous road conditions.

A monstrous winter storm is hitting the tri-state area on Sunday — expected to dump more than a foot of snow in some areas. Travel is becoming a nightmare. A weather event like this makes for perilous driving and travel conditions across the region.

Power outages were reported across the South as a monster storm began wreaking havoc across much of the country.

The National Weather Service in State College has issued Winter Storm Warnings for all of central Pennsylvania through 1 p.m. Monday. It covers the following counties: Somerset, B

A massive winter storm dumped sleet, freezing rain and snow across much of the U.S. on Sunday, bringing subzero temperatures and halting air and road traffic.  The ice and snowfall were expected to continue into Monday followed by very low temperatures which could cause “dangerous travel and infrastructure impacts” for days,

Massachusetts got plenty of snow on Sunday. Unfortunately, this storm comes complete with a day two.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in effect from 7 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26.
