An anti-hate taskforce will assemble in Melbourne this week in the wake of the latest violent anti-Semitic incidents.

The Victorian government has announced the creation of a new anti-hate taskforce in response to a spate of antisemitic incidents over the weekend.

Premier Jacinta Allan, who is expected to visit East Melbourne Synagogue today, will announce that the new anti-hate taskforce will meet this week for the first time.
