Reed Blankenship signed a three-year, $24.75 million contract with the Houston Texans as a free agent, reports confirmed on Monday. The safety was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and played the past four seasons with them.
Blankenship’s teammates and coaches will also miss his leadership. He was voted a team captain in 2025. Over the last two years, he has become a fan favorite with Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean, earning the nickname duo of the “exciting whites.”
