New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who’s in a standoff with Donald Trump and his administration over congestion pricing, said she’s encouraged that her “direct pipeline” to the president will keep the system in place.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the Trump administration would grant NYC an extension to end congestion pricing.

Friday morning meeting at the White House ended without any formal agreement on congestion pricing or energy policies. The White House did not release a readout of the meeting, but a Hochul spokesman released a statement calling the conversation “productive.
