LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln is now under a snow emergency. The city declared an emergency effective at noon Wednesday.

The Grand Island Street Division of the City’s public works department has begun cleaning up and restoring the streets following Wednesday’s powerful winter storm.

After a blizzard blew through western Iowa, dropping as much as a foot of snow in some places, several school districts are delaying or canceling classes for Thursday.
