The NFL released the list of finalists for the NFL Coach of the Year honor and, surprisingly, Los Angeles Charger head coach, Jim Harbaugh, was not on it.

Sean Payton was named AP Coach of the Year with the New Orleans Saints in 2006 and he’s a finalist for the award in 2024 with the Denver Broncos:

Payton is not the only Bronco selected as a finalist for an end-of-the-season award. Quarterback Bo Nix is a finalist for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year while cornerback Pat Surtain II has been nominated for AP Defensive Player of the Year.

It sure seems like Russell Wilson is happier outside of Denver, and Broncos head coach Sean Payton might be even happier than Wilson. Wilson played fine with the Pittsburgh Steelers this year, but it ended with the same results as the last 8 years for the team.
