Tensions flared between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, and of course, Tom Wilson and Matt Rempe were a part of it.
It was just a couple of minutes after the halfway mark at the Garden and Tom Wilson was a very angry man and he was angry at none other than Matt Rempe after the Blueshirts’ folk hero had treated Alex Ovechkin badly, at least to his Washington teammate’s taste.
Matt Rempe isn’t afraid to hit anybody and that includes Alex Ovechkin. During the New York Rangers’ game against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night, Rempe and Wilson were seen talking with one another in a somewhat heated discussion.
Matt Rempe is known for running through his opponents, and during his latest game, he wasn't too scared about threatening Alex Ovechkin as he continues to show the type of player he is on the ice.
The Rangers were unable to take advantage of four power plays but snagged a point in an overtime loss to Washington.
