Rory McIlroy has ramped up as a marketer for TGL ahead of its weekly event tonight (Jan. 27). The golfer is one half of a star-studded duo that's set to face off on Monday evening, and McIlroy has taken to Instagram to try and generate some fan interest.

After an up-and-down start, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy delivered TGL's best night and might have discovered the formula for future success.

Joining Woods will be Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim, while Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley round out the three-man lineup for Boston. Woods, Kiz and Max Homa took a beating in their first match, losing to 12-1 versus Los Angeles.

With McIlroy's team set to play for the first time, and he and Woods going head-to-head in singles, TGL could be looking at its best night of the season.

TGL's technology and green have come under criticism early on, but Rory McIlroy said there's a different setup issue that needs addressing.
