The New Orleans Pelicans suffered a tight home loss against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday with a final score of 137-136. Trey Murphy III led the way for New Orleans with 32 points, as Murphy, Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, and CJ McCollum each scored 23+ in a losing effort.
McCollum entered the record books, hitting a 3-pointer at the final buzzer to break the franchise record for 3-pointers made. It was the 629th 3-pointer since McCollum arrived in New Orleans three years ago. He passed Jrue Holiday, who made 628 in his seven seasons in New Orleans.
