The PGA Tour moved south for its annual stop at the Mexico Open, offering a $7 million purse with $1.26 million to the winner. In a playoff of contrasts featuring the Tour’s biggest hitter in 20-year-old Aldrich Potgieter and shortest hitter in 31-year-old Brian Campbell, the veteran won on the second playoff hole.

The PGA Tour stopped in Mexico on its way from the West Coast swing to the Florida swing and we needed two extra holes to determine the champion of the Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta. Ultimately it was Brian Campbell who topped Aldrich Potgieter with a birdie on the second playoff hole to capture his first PGA Tour victory.
