The New Jersey Devils deserve a ton of credit for how they’ve played as late. Despite dealing with a plethora of devastating injuries, the club has continued to chug along, winning three consecutive games directly after dropping three straight.

The Devils have several needs, notably a center or two — especially if Jack Hughes is out long-term — and a top-six winger. But they don’t have a first-round pick in 2025, their prospect pool is not considered the strongest and they don’t have a lot of cap space, perhaps making an impact trade more of a challenge.
