The incident involving a bus from Little Stepping Stones day care was reported just before 4:15 p.m. along Cleveland Road near Balmoral Street, officials said.

A childcare center bus went off the road and flipped on its side Tuesday in Johnston County.A spokesperson at Little Stepping Stones Childcare at 10955 Cleveland Road said all children aboard were OK.

Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday near I-40 and NC-42. Officials said a person has been shot and taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. No suspects have been identified.
