After an intense night of destructive protests on Monday, activity has calmed down on the UW campus, where about 30 activists were arrested.

UW officials are reporting significant damage to the new Interdisciplinary Engineering Building (IEB) following a pro-Palestinian occupation protest Monday night. The sit-in saw the arrest of more than 30 demonstrators.

More than two dozen pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested Monday after occupying an engineering building at the University of Washington, where they demanded the university sever ties with Boeing over the aerospace giant’s military contracts and its role in supplying weapons used in the war in Gaza.
