Shubman Gill became the fastest batter to reach 2,500 runs in ODIs, scoring a century in his 50th match against England. He broke Hashim Amla’s record, achieving the milestone in 53 innings. Gill scored 112 runs in the match,

Thanks to his brilliant century, Gill has now scored the most runs in ODI cricket after 50 innings, surpassing Hashim Amla. The Punjab batsman has 2,587 runs in 50 ODI innings, going past Amla’s tally of 2,486 runs in the same number of innings.
