A 41-year-old woman was walking to her Nissan Rogue on Thursday morning when a woman approached and stabbed her in the chest and bicep before taking her vehicle, Chicago police said.

A woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing two people following a carjacking in Garfield Ridge on the Southwest Side early Tuesday.

A 41-year-old woman told Chicago police she was walking to her Nissan Rogue near W 51st Street and Rutherford Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when a female approached her and then stabbed her in her chest and arm with a sharp object before stealing her SUV.

A suspect was arrested Thursday morning after police said she stabbed two people and carjacked a woman in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood.
