On a different racetrack of events, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise were initially attached to Ford v Ferrari, with the F1 star revealing what ultimately led the latter to back out of the project. Speaking to the United Arab Emirates-based publication The National News,

Pitt also noted that he’d love to work on a follow-up to Cruise’s 1990 racing film ‘Days of Thunder.’ Before F1: The Movie raced into theaters last week, Brad Pitt was originally set to star in another racing film alongside none other than Tom Cruise .
