A former acting FBI director who resisted demands to turn over the names of agents who investigated the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is being forced out of the bureau, two sources told The Associated Press.

The Fbi on Thursday is ousting at least three officials, including the former acting director and an officer involved in the January 6 investigations, Fox News has learned.

He became acting director following the firing last May of Comey, and immediately assumed direct oversight of the FBI's investigation into possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign.
