The FBI file reveals a rare public corruption probe targeting a diverse cast, including a judge, her father, two felons and an election fraudster.

Federal investigators have indicted several current and former law enforcement leaders in Louisiana, accusing them of participating in a paid scheme to bypass immigration laws. They were arrested this week. FBI officials shared details of the 62-count indictment on visa fraud in a Wednesday press conference.

The Justice Department announced that "over $10 million dollars in cryptocurrency, directly linked to the Sinaloa cartel" has been seized in Miami, Florida.

"FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo," U.S.Attorney Bill Essayli wrote in a post to X last week. "The shooting occurred on 7/10/25 at approximately 2:26pm on Laguna Rd between Wood Rd and Las Posas Rd."

They allege that law enforcement leaders worked with an Oakdale, Louisiana business owner to falsify police reports of armed robberies. Alleged victims, who were immigrants, could then apply for a visas that would allow the victims or witnesses to stay in the U.S., FBI leaders said in the press conference.

The bureau said that members of the group—referred to as "764" for the Texas ZIP code where it reportedly originated—befriend minors online via video games, social media and online forums, then coerce them into self-harm and creating explicit material.
