Already running low on pitching, the New York Mets added starter Paul Blackburn and reliever Dedniel Núñez to a crowded injured list Thursday in their latest flurry of roster moves. Núñez has a right elbow sprain and could require Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career.

The Mets placed right-handers Paul Blackburn and Dedniel Nunez on the 15-day injured list on Thursday, dealing the reeling club two more blows to its staggering pitching staff.

Paul Blackburn (shoulder impingement) and Dedniel Núñez (right elbow sprain) were placed on the 15-day injured list before Thursday’s finale against the Brewers at Citi Field.
