The Chicago Bears did something they haven't done in over a decade -- signed a quarterback to a multi-year contract extension. Third-year pro Tyson Bagent signed a two-year, $10 million extension on Wednesday keeping him in Chicago through 2027.

With both backup quarterbacks battling closely for the No. 2 spot on the roster behind Caleb Williams, there was no clear verdict in the preseason opener.
