The 49ers seem to have decided that Brock Purdy is their franchise quarterback. To Purdy's credit, he went to the Super Bowl in his first full season as an NFL starting quarterback, but so did Jimmy Garoppolo.

Now that the San Francisco 49ers are set to sign Brock Purdy long-term, Kyle Shanahan is ready to tether himself to the Iowa State product.

Show him the money? Shanahan had a strong quote about Brock Purdy, saying, "I plan on being with Brock here the whole time I'm here,”

Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers’ brass have a similar mindset regarding one of the biggest offseason questions around the organization.

Among the leaders in APY (average per year) are Dallas’ Dak Prescott ($60 million), Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence ($55 million), Green Bay’s Jordan Love ($55 million) and Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa ($53.1 million). Purdy has more value to the 49ers than all of those players.

Purdy ranks fourth in the NFL in QBR (69.3), sixth in passing yards (9,075), first in yards per attempt (8.9), and seventh in passing touchdowns (61). However, the 49ers could choose to let Purdy play out the season and franchise tag him.
