T-Mobile has begun another wave of price hikes, this time hitting customers with legacy plans.

Based on T-Mobile's communication to staff, it's unclear just which customers can expect to see $5 tacked onto their lines on upcoming statements. If you received a notification via text or email, T-Mobile's Plan Pricing Update 5LT page states that the change goes into effect April 2 and includes a few FAQs at the bottom.

T-Mobile (TMUS) , one of the largest mobile providers in the U.S. with over 130 million customers nationwide, recently concluded 2024 on a high note. The company raked in a record-high net income of $11.

Price increases start rolling out on April 2. 'We are updating the prices on some of our older phone plans in response to rising costs,' T-Mobile says.

T-Mobile says that if your plan falls under the "Un-contract Promise," which guarantees your rates won't increase, it will pay your final month's recurring service charge if you decide to leave (as long as you let the company know within 60 days).
