Oil futures rose Tuesday, bouncing after ending the previous session at six-month lows amid a global selloff for equities and other assets perceived as risky.

Oil prices rose 1% on Tuesday, helped by weakness in the U.S. dollar, although gains were capped as concerns mounted over a U.S. slowdown and the impact of trade tariffs on global economic growth.

The international benchmark fell to its lowest point since 2021 after a decision by Saudi Arabia and other producers to pump more crude surprised the markets.
