Quarterback Marcus Mariota is staying with the Washington Commanders, multiple outlets reported today. His deal is for one year and $8 million, according to NFL Network.

The Commanders signed Mariota last March, leading some to wonder if they were telegraphing their quarterback decision in the 2024 NFL draft. Many believed Washington would select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick, which ended up being the move.
