The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is gearing up for a crucial voter registration weekend on 20 and 21 June.

The Electoral Commission of South Africa has kicked off a nationwide push for online voter registration as South Africa gears up for the 2026 local elections.

The IEC said preparations are already in progress to ensure the country is ready to conduct elections whenever they are officially called.
