Frontier Airlines launched a promotion that includes free checked bags, taking aim at rival carrier Southwest, which reversed its long-standing policy.

Several airlines in the US have cut down their first-quarter profit and sales estimates as they grapple with a recent drop in domestic travel demand in the country. Frontier Airlines has come up with an economy bundle promotion which includes seat assignments and a carry-on bag.
