The Feb. 3 recall notice for about 223,600 Coleman, Coleman Evcon, and Red T gas furnaces stems from an overheating problem that can cause a fire.

CPSC is re-issuing a recall from several years ago because of continued fires with Coleman furnaces for manufactured homes installed between 1995 and 2000.

York International has reissued a recall on Coleman, Coleman Evcon and Red T gas furnaces for manufactured homes because of nearly 400 incidences of smoke and/or fires attributed to the units.

Consumers should stop using the furnaces and contact UPG at 888-665-4640 to schedule a free inspection and repair.
