Update: 19,904 acres affected in Ventura County by Mountain Fire, still 91% contained
Mountain Fire initially started 8:51 a.m. Nov. 6 in Ventura County. It has burned 19,904 acres after being active for nine days. By Friday morning, a crew of 1,146 firefighters effectively contained 91% of the fire. The cause of it is still under investigation.
Mountain Fire Update: California Blaze Burns Nearly 250 Structures
The Mountain Fire in Southern California has destroyed 174 structures, damaged another 74 structures and injured six people in Ventura County, according to local officials. Fifty-two crews are currently deployed to fight the flames of the Mountain Fire that started Wednesday morning in the Ventura community of Somis.
