The man who appeared on video to have been beaten by New York Police Department officers inside a Brooklyn liquor store now plans to sue the city for $100 million, according to his attorney.

In a case of mistaken identity, Timothy Brown was brutally beaten inside a New York City liquor store by two plainclothes detectives who thought he was involved in a drug deal.

Timothy Brown told reporters Tuesday that he felt “humiliated, disrespected and embarrassed” by the arrest and will never be the same after the April 14 incident.
