Vanderbilt's Devin McGlockton made two critical plays in the final seconds to help the host Commodores squeak past South Carolina 66-63 on Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn.

South Carolina out-rebounded Vanderbilt by 13, the third-largest margin of the season. That has been USC’s biggest struggle this year, ranking 11th in the SEC in rebounding margin. USC was out-rebounded in the first two SEC games, before edging Auburn in that area.

Vanderbilt basketball lost to Missouri and has more work still to do if it wants to be an NCAA Tournament contender.
