Tom Robbins, the literary prankster-philosopher who charmed, enlightened and addled millions of readers with such adventures as "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" and "Jitterbug Perfume," has died.

The Still Life with Woodpecker author Tom Robbins has passed away at 92, announced by his wife Alexa in a recent Facebook post.

Though no cause of death has been revealed as of yet, the author's final wishes echo a legacy of written works dedicated to a single mission of serious playfulness.
