Texas closer Luke Jackson took a 111-mph comeback liner off his pitching hand on the only pitch he threw after coming on in the ninth inning of the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.

Luke Jackson’s save attempt during the Texas Rangers’ win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday was cut short after a line drive comebacker was sent right back at Jackson and struck the relief pitcher in the right arm. Jackson immediately exited the game with Rangers’ athletic trainer Matt Lucero.

Against Texas Dollander made it six innings and allowed just one hit. Of course, that one hit ended up being the difference in the game as Wyatt Langford smacked a two-run home run into the Texas bullpen. That blast turned a 1-0 deficit into the eventual 2-1 final score.
