After months of maintaining her innocence, recalled Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao is facing criminal charges from a federal grand jury indictment that will be announced Friday morning, according to reports.

Seven months ago, then Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao’s home was raided by the FBI. Two months ago, the embattled Thao was recalled overwhelmingly by Oakland voters. Last month, she left office. And later today,
